The coalition will provide companies and public-sector agencies with a diverse and specialized set of security education, research, and services. The coursework and research curriculum through NC PACE will be tailored to the needs of the state to ensure that the trained workforce is ready to address cybersecurity challenges unique to our state and beyond.

NC-PACE, previously funded by a grant from the National Security Agency’s National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity, brings together thirteen of North Carolina’s prestigious universities and community colleges along with public agencies and private-sector businesses to support the cybersecurity ecosystem in North Carolina. NC-PACE takes a proactive approach to defending against cyber attacks to "harden" the states' security posture, mitigate risks and threats to critical infrastructure, address the cybersecurity workforce gap, and establish cybersecurity as an economic development tool for the state.
